Accessibility
A salon and a website that welcome everyone.
The Salon Lounge is committed to providing a website and an in-salon experience that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability. We continually work to improve accessibility and welcome feedback that helps us serve every guest better.

01
Our commitment
We believe every guest deserves a welcoming, professional salon experience and an easy-to-use website. We are committed to identifying and removing barriers that prevent people with disabilities from accessing our services, information, and communications.
02
Accessibility standards
Our website is designed and developed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
We are working toward conformance, and accessibility is part of our ongoing design and development process.
03
What we have done so far
To make our site more accessible, we have:
- Used semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks so assistive technologies can navigate the page structure.
- Provided descriptive alt text for meaningful images and marked decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Ensured color contrast meets WCAG AA targets for body text and interactive elements.
- Made interactive elements reachable and operable with a keyboard alone, with visible focus styles.
- Used clear, plain-language copy and labeled form fields with visible, programmatic labels.
- Designed with respect for reduced-motion preferences so animations do not interfere with reading.
04
In-salon accessibility
The Salon Lounge is located on the ground level with accessible parking nearby. If you need accommodations for your visit — for example, a specific chair height, support during transfers, or assistance navigating the space — please contact us in advance and we will do everything we can to prepare.
Service animals are welcome.
05
Third-party content
Some content on our site is provided by third-party tools — such as our booking provider, map embeds, and social media links. We cannot fully control the accessibility of third-party content, but we make reasonable efforts to choose vendors that take accessibility seriously and to provide alternative ways to access the same information when possible.
06
Feedback and assistance
If you have trouble using any part of our website or salon experience, or if you have feedback that would help us improve, please reach out. We will do our best to provide the information you need in an accessible format and to address any barrier you encountered.

07
Ongoing improvements
Accessibility is a journey, not a destination. We test, audit, and update our site as it evolves and as standards advance. If you spot something we can improve, your feedback is welcome and helps shape what we work on next.
