Privacy Policy
How we handle the information you share with us.
The Salon Lounge ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By visiting our site, booking with us, or opting in to SMS messages, you agree to the practices described below.
Effective June 16, 2026
01
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to provide and improve your salon experience. Specifically:
- Contact details — name, phone number, email, and mailing address when you book, request a consultation, or subscribe to updates.
- Appointment information — services requested, scheduling preferences, hair history, and any photos you share for a consultation.
- SMS opt-in records — your mobile number, the date and time you consented, and the channel through which you opted in.
- Payment information — handled by our PCI compliant payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Site usage data — basic analytics such as pages viewed, device type, and referring source, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
02
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Schedule, confirm, and follow up on your appointments and consultations.
- Communicate with you about your services, including responding to questions and sending receipts.
- Send SMS messages you have opted in to receive — appointment confirmations, reminders, and occasional promotional offers.
- Maintain accurate client records so we can keep your color formulas, extension orders, and preferences consistent.
- Improve our website, services, and client experience using aggregated analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and protect our rights and the rights of our clients.
03
SMS opt-in details
You may opt in to receive SMS text messages from us by checking the consent box on our booking or consultation form, by replying to a confirmation message in the affirmative, or by providing written consent in person at the salon. We will never enroll you in SMS without an affirmative opt-in.
Message types: appointment confirmations, reminders, service follow-ups, scheduling changes, and occasional promotional offers.
Frequency: message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule and our promotions, typically no more than four messages per month.
Cost: message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for support, or contact us directly at (480) 521-0812.
Full SMS terms are available on our SMS Terms page.
04
Cookies and tracking practices
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functional, understand how the site is used, and measure which marketing brings guests to us. Specifically:
- Essential — core site functions such as form submission and navigation.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure site traffic and which pages lead to consultation requests.
- Session analytics — Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymized interactions such as clicks and scrolling so we can find and fix usability problems.
- Visitor identification and advertising— IntentWave, which may attempt to identify visitors and supports advertising measurement. This may qualify as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
- Marketing attribution — information stored in your browser recording how you first found us (for example a search, an advertisement, or an AI assistant), so a later enquiry can be credited to it.
Your choices. You can switch off advertising and visitor-identification technologies at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. We also automatically honor the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one, and visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland have advertising and analytics storage denied by default. Most browsers additionally let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect site functionality.
05
Data security and handling
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encrypted form transmission, restricted access to client records, and PCI compliant payment processing.
No system is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security and ask that you take care when sharing personal details over email or public networks.
We retain client information only as long as needed to provide services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes.
06
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information or update outdated details.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and recordkeeping obligations.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time, including SMS (reply STOP) and email (use the unsubscribe link).
- Withdraw consent for any optional data use without affecting services you have already received.
To exercise any of these rights, email thesalonloungeaz@gmail.com or call (480) 521-0812. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and no later than required by applicable law.
07
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use the visitor-identification and advertising technologies described above, which may qualify as “sharing” under California law. You can switch those off at any time:
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically as a valid opt-out request. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details in the section above; we will not ask you for more information than we need to verify the request.
08
Mobile information sharing statement
We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information may be shared only with trusted service providers that help us deliver the messages you have signed up to receive — for example, the SMS platform we use to send appointment reminders. Those providers are contractually required to handle your information solely for that purpose and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose information if required by law, in response to a lawful request from law enforcement, or to protect our rights and the safety of our clients.
09
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The “Effective” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
